Woodstock

Woodstock, located in the central west of New South Wales, Australia, is a charming village situated 21 kilometers (13 miles) northeast of Cowra. Its history is intertwined with a brief gold rush during the late 19th century, which left behind several substantial buildings. These remnants stand as a testament to the village’s prosperity. Among the notable features are a restored railway station, a historic hotel, and the Woodstock Soldiers Memorial Hall. The village hosts country markets at the memorial hall on the second Sunday of each month (except January) and welcomes touring opera performances by OperaWorks. Additionally, Woodstock hosts events such as long-track motorbike championships and an annual show.
